The Precinct’s Michelle Galluzzo named Content Person of the Year at international CMA Awards

The Content Marketing Association (CMA) Awards has named The Precinct’s Michelle Galluzzo as Content Person of the New Year.

For the first time in its 23 year history, the CMA Awards introduced the brand new category, designed to celebrate the people behind the work.

The 2021 CMA Awards was the most competitive year to date, with a record-breaking number of entries from more organisations and countries across the world than ever before. The shortlist for Content Person of the Year included talent from Scandinavia, England and the US.

Says Rob John, managing director of CMA: “To be shortlisted against such tough competition is already a great accolade, and to go on and win an award at this year’s ceremony marks a phenomenal achievement.”

The newly created category aims to celebrate people who have made an outstanding contribution to content marketing with their skills, innovation or ability to grow and maintain relationships.

Says Rachael Ashley, content director of Cedar Communications, London: “We were blown away by Michelle’s work, she really knows how to nail a brief and has helped drive her agency from strength to strength.”

Sydney based creative production agency, The Precinct also took out a gold, two silvers and a bronze for its work on Takeda, MLA and Virgin Australia.

Says Galluzzo: “It’s a brave new world out there and brands are looking for new ideas that go beyond traditional advertising – this is the beauty of content. I’m proud to receive this very special award and represent Australia on the world stage at this exciting time.”
