TBWA New Zealand promotes head of operations Kate Heatley to the role of general manager

TBWA has announced the appointment of Kate Heatley (left) as general manager of TBWA New Zealand.

Heatley has extensive experience in agencies on both sides of the Tasman, including Y&R, FCB NZ, FCB Sydney and has worked across multiple blue chip clients including Gruppo Campari, Mondelez, Beiersdorf, ANZ, 2degrees and Independent Liquor. Formerly TBWA’s head of operations, Heatley’s promotion takes effect immediately.

Says Catherine Harris (centre), managing director, TBWA: “Kate has exceptional experience and brings both enormous heart and professionalism to every role she’s taken on with us. As we grow and extend our capabilities, Kate will be focused on continuing to develop a model that delivers to our clients, supports Shane’s creative ambitions, supports our teams and nurtures our culture.”

Says Heatley: “The last 16 months at TBWA has been terrific and working alongside Catherine Harris and Shane Bradnick an absolute privilege. I’m excited to move into the role of General Manager and continue to be part of our talented leadership team. TBWA is winning new business, hiring and expanding into new and innovative areas and it’s a great time to be here. Catherine and Shane have a clear vision of what a world-class agency in New Zealand looks like and as a team, we are very focused on delivering to that vision.”

Says Shane Bradnick (right), chief creative officer, TBWA: “As someone who loves both muscle cars and the mid-century Italian architect Carlos Scarpa, Kate is a pretty awesome human – she loves great work, and knows how to get an agency in the right shape to make it. I’ve loved my time working with her, and look forward to her help in building TBWA NZ into the agency we all want it to be.”
