Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne’s ‘Donation Dollar’ a finalist in Spikes Asia Innovation shortlist

Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne has made the cut at shortlist stage of Spikes Asia’s Innovation category out of a total of five entries progressing through to the metal round.
Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne has been shortlisted for The Royal Australian Mint ‘Donation Dollar’ concept.
The Innovation Spikes celebrates groundbreaking innovation, technology and problem solving. The shortlisted entrants will be invited to attend a digital Q&A with the jury.

Deservedly so,
This is one of this country’s greatest ideas. Ever.
Still not sure what it’s advertising for the client.

But who uses physical fiat?
Both use coins as a touchpoint to communicate a message, but the ideas are totally different. Is every campaign that uses billboards ‘the same’?

I still haven’t seen a coin but I did see a bit of coverage around the waste of taxpayers money.

A billboard is a known medium. A coin is not. Same idea. Different brand.
