Rumble_WayneSmith (1).jpgAward-winning writer Wayne Smith has returned to Australia to join independent agency Rumble as a senior writer. This follows over a decade working in London and Europe, most recently as CD/head of copy at iris Worldwide, Munich.

Says Nancy Hartley, creative partner, Rumble: “It’s fantastic to have Wayne on board. It’s so important for us to have people who are not only great conceptualisers, but who love their craft. Wayne is a very talented writer.”

Smith’s awards include Cannes, LIA, Mobius and more. He lists “Platform promiscuity and creative collaboration” among his skills.

Continues Smith: “That’s what makes Rumble such a great fit for me. It’s a generous team of creative people with an entrepreneurial spirit and the independence to make things happen.”

Smith fills the gap left by Mike Kennedy, who was given the opportunity to take up the creative director role of Rumble’s start-up specialist agency, Edison.

Smith is one of several new appointments as Rumble heads into 2018 with campaigns underway for new clients including Pacific Fair, Allianz Worldwide Partners, Flight Centre Travel Group (Moneywise Global), R&F Property and Greyhound Australia.
