Pet care brand Royal Canin picks Melbourne indie agency The Reactor following a competitive pitch

MaineCoon (1).jpgIndependent Melbourne agency, The Reactor is now the official agency for super premium pet care brand, Royal Canin.

Royal Canin, part of the MARS pet care range, is a significant player in the Australasian market that until recently had focussed on a more B2B approach to marketing. However, as big box retail has come to the pet food sector the brand has realised it needs to take more control of its consumer marketing presence.

Royal Canin Logo (1).jpgThe Reactor’s MD, Phil Childs says being an independent agency ended up being a benefit in the pitching process: “We were up against a couple of the bigger shops, but size wasn’t what they were looking for. Of course they wanted a strong strategic base, creative talent and the capacity to get things done. But they also wanted a good cultural fit; an agency they can partner with in the long term.

“We offer everything they were looking for, from traditional advertising through to the latest digital offerings, and we do it all under the one roof.”
