Ogilvy Australia ranks in ABA Employer of Choice Awards 2020 for third consecutive year

Ogilvy Australia has been recognised as an Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards 2020 for the third consecutive year. This year Ogilvy is the only integrated creative agency across all 54 winning companies to receive the highly coveted award.

Other companies included in The Australian Business Awards include PHD Australia and Resolution Media.

Now in their fifteenth year, The Australian Business Awards are an annual all-encompassing awards program which recognises organisations that demonstrate the core values of business innovation, product innovation, technological achievement and employee engagement via a set of comprehensive award categories.

David Fox, CEO Australia says the award provides recognition of Ogilvy’s core values across Culture; Leadership; Training & Development; and many other managerial practices and it was an honour for the agency to be recognised for the third consecutive year.

Says Fox: “Creating a truly collaborative and inclusive workplace is an integral part of Ogilvy’s DNA and has been even more important in 2020 when our people and our business have been challenged at every step. Bringing our people together as a team when they are spread across so many mini-offices throughout Australia has been made easier as our culture has always been one of collaboration and inclusion…it’s not rocket science, if you look after your most valuable asset (people) then they will give you their best work and your business will thrive.”

“We are honoured and delighted to once again be recognised as an Employer of Choice and as a business we remain committed to putting our people first in everything we do. This award belongs to all of Ogilvy Australia’s fantastic team, I applaud them and thank them for their continued dedication and hard work.”

The Australian Business Award for Employer of Choice (EOC) recognises organisations that develop workplaces that maximise the full potential of their workforce through established policies and practices which demonstrate effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.

Entrant organisations are required to demonstrate their achievements across the key areas of organisational culture; leadership and strategy; employee education, training and development; employee health, safety and satisfaction; performance management; recognition and remuneration.

Says Tara Johnston, program director: “Fifty-four organisations have been selected in this year’s ABA Employer of Choice Awards. These organisations have demonstrated adaptability in the workplace by utilising flexible and new ways of working and learning.

“The landscape of the workplace environment has changed rapidly as technology has gained momentum, coinciding with businesses navigating a broad range of interrelated issues from the impact of the current challenges facing the global economy. The ability to work from anywhere, combined with the advances in connectivity tools makes us geographically neutral.

“Leading organisations have begun to implement an entirely new working environment that breaks down communication barriers, positioning organisations to harness the talent within their organisation, transform the employee experience and position businesses to be more resilient.”

Organisational participation includes private companies, public companies, multi-national subsidiaries, non-government organisations, educational institutions, government departments, government agencies, local government and statutory bodies operating in Australia.
