Nerio Communications merges with Canberra creative agency CRE8IVE

Nerio Communications has today merged with one of Canberra’s preeminent agencies, CRE8IVE, and in doing so becomes an integrated communication and creative agency. Along with the merger announcement comes the introduction of CRE8IVE’s first new partner in more than ten years, Amy Nerio.

CRE8IVE has been one of Canberra’s leading creative agency; strategically delivering brand, campaign and digital solutions for close to 20 years. CRE8IVE has worked with clients across Federal and State Government, NGOs and SMEs. Merging with Nerio Communications enhances the service offering to now include communication strategy and implementation, including public relations.

Says James Willson (left), founding partner, CRE8IVE: “Our business has changed exponentially over the past few years and today’s client views a business like ours as a critical partner who is there to enable business outcomes. Today we have the ultimate agency dream team and having Amy coming into our business gives me a newfound confidence in terms of where we can go.”

Says Alberto Florez (centre), partner: “With this merger, we have improved and enhanced our service offering and introduced even more strategic thinkers to the CRE8IVE fold. The Nerio team brings unrivalled experience and expertise across different business sectors and we are excited about what the future holds.”

Says Amy Nerio (right) and the team at Nerio Communications join CRE8IVE as a group of dedicated communication strategists with global experience across the private and public sectors. The team is passionate about strategically-led communication and how organisations utilise and integrate this into their overall business.

With more than 15 years’ experience in Australia and internationally, Nerio has a proven track record in communications and operational management. Nerio understands the combination of elements required to establish an agile agency whose ethos is to implement effective communication and outstanding client services.

Prior to launching Nerio, Amy spent close to a decade in the US as part of an executive team that saw an Australian start-up sell a majority stake in the business to a Silicon Valley-based private equity firm. She went on to lead the organisation’s operations as the SVP strategic operations with more than 80 staff as part of her team, with services across ten countries. More recently, Nerio has spent the past five years building Nerio Communications into one of Canberra’s leading boutique communication agencies.

Says Nerio: “This was a decision based on seeing an evident market gap in the combined communication and creative services – an integrated agency that offers our clients cross-discipline specialties. I am excited about what our team can offer both existing and prospective partners. There is a very talented group of people in the team who can now take our combined service offering to market.

“On a personal note, I am looking forward to joining the leadership team at CRE8IVE. I am passionate about the work that we do, the talent pool of incredible creatives combined with strategic thinkers who want to educate, create change and grow the private and public sector clients we partner with. It makes perfect sense to do that with the CRE8IVE team who are an established force in the market.”

CRE8IVE will provide clients with communication strategy and implementation, brand and creative strategy and execution, along with digital design and development.
