M&C Saatchi Sydney creates a digital world where CommBank catches fraudsters as customers catch sleep in latest campaign
M&C Saatchi Sydney has created a new campaign for CommBank that demonstrates the bank’s fraud protection credentials.
In the ever-evolving battle against fraudulent security risks, CommBank’s dedicated security specialists use the latest technology to scan customer accounts for suspicious activity 24/7.
To bring the work of CommBank’s security teams to life, M&C Saatchi, alongside Collider director Daniel Askill and Alt.vfx, built a microchip city where rogue fraudsters are taken down in-between giant processors and glowing data streams.
Says Monique Macleod, CMO, CommBank: “In an increasingly digital world, fraudulent activity poses an ever-present risk. With this campaign, we wanted to reassure Australians that when it comes to their account security, we’ve got them covered.”
Says Andy Flemming, group CD, M&C Saatchi: “The CommBank fraud teams are highly motivated and seriously impressive. We wrote the spot after meeting them and hope they’re as happy with it as we are. Daniel Askill, ALT and Rumble pulled out the stops and crafted an incredible world right up until the final moments. I’m still geeking out, to be honest.”

It’s not the same you complete melon brain.
Lovely…well done gang! x
Well done Andy. Looks much better on the big screen than a tiny phone screen.
🙂
Bland idea.
Great execution.
The Alt making of video is much more entertaining.
All our ads would be more entertaining if they didn’t have to mean or say anything, and we could put random hip hop tracks on them. Not saying Alt hasn’t done a great job btw.
It’s fine. Nothing more. Alt have definitely slipped. Overall, nice.
love the tender performance at the end so touching and real
@ soso Being an anonymous heckler shows what a blockhead you really are.
Sorry I hit a nerve, Meow. Wasn’t meant to offend. It’s a nice ad. It’s very clean and simple but pretty boring. And the graphics are ok, nothing more. Chin up.
A little Alt vs Blockhead feud!
My money is on Alt by far.
Nice visuals. Little else.
Great ad for the advertising industry
lol looks hamy af and you all know it
wowsers!?! for the record we have no beef with our blockhead brothers. You need all the friends you can get when you start a vfx company.
