MADC Stars Creative Showcase returns to celebrate Melbourne’s best; deadline Sept 25th

Set to return again this year, the MADC will showcase Melbourne’s most groundbreaking work at its annual Creative Showcase.

This year’s theme, ‘Long Live Creativity’, celebrates the miracles of concepts that triumph over the toughest of odds. It’s a known industry truth that for every big, beautiful, award-winning idea, there are countless casualties along the way. As such, the Creative Showcase is inviting the industry to come together and honour the ideas that died, by celebrating the ones that made it.

With a non-conventional award system, the MADC Stars Creative Showcase only awards the cream of the crop – no gold, silver or bronze – just the best of the best. Furthermore, every piece of work worthy of recognition will be celebrated, with no restriction on winners per category. Rather, judges will provide commentary on why each piece of work was recognised as a winner.

Submissions are reasonably priced at $75. Again this year, the pricing format is designed to be accessible, allowing agencies of any size to get involved. The judging panel, built of highly awarded Australian creative expats will be announced next week.

With a highly praised format that truly celebrates creativity, Guilty, Alt.vfx, Electric Dreams and Coco Productions have committed as key sponsors of the event. The MADC would also like to thank its agency supporters for their generosity: AJF, BWM Dentsu, By All Means, CHE Proximity, Cummins&Partners, DDB, Deloitte, Fenton Stephens, Havas Melbourne, Leo Burnett, M&C Saatchi, Marmalade, McCann, Monkeys, Ogilvy, Royals, Saatchi & Saatchi, SDWM, Taboo, TBWA, Thinkerbell, VMLY&R, WhiteGrey, Wunderman Thompson.

Says Adrian Bosich, MADC president: “Last year’s show was tremendously well received by a sellout crowd. The new format has been praised for its brevity, quality, and judging format consisting of notable overseas expats, as we continue to redefine the vital elements of a local award show. This year we take it further, while keeping it streamlined and simple – collectively celebrating the best work Melbourne has ideated and executed. In addition to this recognition, it’s the community building that is just as important – a great excuse to come together, celebrate, converse and connect with one another.”

Entries are open from now until Sept 25th, with late entries accepted until Oct 18th (late fees apply). With judging occurring soon after, no extensions are possible beyond this date.

Save the date for MADC Stars Creative Showcase and party on November 14th.
