MADC Presents ‘How diversity can re-design our future’ with Code Like a Girl’s Ally Watson OAM on Wednesday, April 19 at The Royal Saxon

MADC Presents’ first event for 2023 will feature Ally Watson OAM, founder and CEO of Code Like a Girl, at new venue The Royal Saxon from 6:30pm.

Watson founded Code Like a Girl in 2015 simply as a way to find and meet other women working in tech. Since then, Code Like a Girl has grown to become a vital social enterprise, providing women and girls with the tools to re-imagine the future of technology.

Recently decorated with an Order of Australia medal, Watson is a multi-award winning social entrepreneur, who believes that the technology we build today determines the world we live in tomorrow. But if that world is being built under the leadership of only a small portion of our community, what kind of world will we have?

Says Sarah McGregor, director of MADC Presents: “I am so excited that Ally is joining us to share her story and some important insights about the gender tech gap and bias in design. Technology and design is how the world is made, and on the 19th we will learn how we can all make it better.”
