LIA announces Radio & Audio and Podcast jury; Eardrum’s Ralph van Dijk to represent Australia

LIA has announced its stellar list of jurors that will judge the 2021 Radio & Audio and Podcast entries. Juniper Park\TBWA, Toronto executive creative director Jenny Glover has been named as jury president, whilst Eardrum founding creative director will represent Australia on the jury.

As the show that was Created for Creatives, LIA has always been lauded for its caliber of judges and its completely transparent judging system. The 2021 juries, as in the past 35 years, are made up of the world’s most celebrated creative minds whose stringent standards will set the bar for great creative ideas and executions to be duly recognized and awarded this year.

Despite not being able to convene all juries on-site for judging, LIA has made every effort to ensure that the judging process will not be compromised in any way. As with our judging process throughout the years, every jury member is required to see and evaluate every piece of work individually during the first round. Once the Shortlists have been decided, each jury, along with their respective Presidents, will meet online in our virtual judging room to determine the Statue Winners.

Says Glover: “One of the things I love about judging a global show like LIA, is that it gives me a unique bird’s-eye view of what the world is collectively thinking and feeling. It’s something that should be particularly interesting right now.

“It’s also such a privilege to immerse myself in the best creative work and to feed my creative appetite. I look forward to emerging from my LIA experience feeling thoroughly sated and inspired.”

JURY:
Tom Eymundson, CEO, Pirate Group, Toronto

The Radio & Audio and Podcast jury president, Jenny Glover, will have the opportunity to apprise the jurors of the judging criteria before judging begins.  All virtual judging will begin in October.

Says Barbara Levy, President of LIA: “We are very grateful to all our Jury Presidents and jury members for giving us their time and expertise to judge.  As we all know, for more than one year, the world’s attention has been focussed on medical. So the pandemic could be a catalyst where Health, Wellness and Pharma transcend barriers with unexpected and wonderful ideas and executions –  technology playing a bigger role as the world resorts to virtual care and remote medicine. We are an industry that finds creative solutions. Usually when it’s darkest that the brightest ideas shine through. So it will be interesting to see the kind of work that gets awarded in these jury rooms by the world’s best creative people.”
