iSelect takes the ‘uggghhhh’ out of saving in newly launched TV spot via Fenton Stephens
iSelect is taking the ‘uggghhh’ out of saving in its latest TV campaign via Fenton Stephens.
Bills. Everyone hates them. Especially health insurance. In fact, out of all the bills we have to deal with, health insurance is easily one of the most painful. What am I covered for? Is there a waiting period? What is an excess? Why is it so expensive? And why does it keeping getting even MORE expensive?
Says Jess Wheeler, associate creative director & partner, Fenton Stephens: “We’re not going to wrap this up in any more pseudo-science than need be. To most Australians, navigating health insurance is simply one giant exhausting groan. But, the truth is, you and I don’t actually have to deal with it. With iSelect, we can outsource all the pain of health insurance and then simply enjoy all the benefits. Why would you ever do it any other way?”
iSelect’s new spot from Fenton Stephens and AIRBAG’s animation wizards, Lumberfly, takes this simple insight and visualises it by channelling the frustration of a man who finds himself caught in a health insurance ad. So much so, that he slides off his chair amidst a sea of agonising groans and worms across the floor in an attempt to escape. Until, of course, he realises he doesn’t actually have to do any work.
Says Warren Hebard, chief marketing officer, iSelect: “We know the last thing people want to think about is private health insurance but not thinking about it is why so many of us end up paying more for outdated cover. But in the current economic climate, making sure you aren’t paying for things you don’t need is more important than ever. Our latest ad reminds customers that saving money on your health insurance doesn’t have to be hard work.”
The spot is the second in a series of animated TVCs, with a 3rd to come shortly.

The more I see these Bankwest ads the more I like the brand.
So how many agencies have iSelect had now?
ngl i did giggle at this
You wont be able to build the brand with this look and feel its to similar to bankwest and theyve had it for years. Suggest you morph it into somerhing else
For blatantly ripping off Bankwest’s art direction.
At a time where every ad is making me go eeerrgggh this one of the only ones that didn’t.
I like these
Please don’t tell me this is the end of the bill-usionist (these are funny but I love that dude)
Me too. He’s still at the end (in animated form). Maybe the actor will be back once film shoots are easier to manage?
Tale as old as time… true as it can beeeee

Caught this for the first time last week – really really nice work, made me chuckle. Bang on human truth.
