Rob Hudson has departed the managing director role at Clemenger Brisbane, prompting a management shakeup that sees Marianne O’Brien and Cristian Staal promoted to Managing Partner – Creative and Christine Gannon promoted to Managing Partner – Client Service (pictured above).

Joining the leadership team will be former Sydney Swans Football Club CEO, Andrew Ireland (pictured below), who joins the agency as Chairman in a part time capacity.

Returning to Brisbane where he lived and worked as CEO for the Brisbane Lions, Ireland’s primary responsibility will be to support the newly formed leadership team and raise the agency’s profile in Brisbane.

Partnering Ireland in taking responsibility for the overall direction of Clemenger Brisbane will be CHE Proximity national CEO, Chris Howatson, who will take on the leadership of both agencies and importantly, bring the capabilities of CHE Proximity to existing and new clients in Brisbane.

Says Clemenger Group Executive Chairman, Robert Morgan: “Our business is changing at pace. We need to accelerate our technical, data and digital capabiltiies, and show what we’re capable of to the market. With Andrew and Chris in place to drive that agenda, I’m confident that they’ll meet the challenge of building the best agency offer in Brisbane.

“I’d also like to thank Rob for his hard work and dedication during his time at the agency, and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

Hudson, who took the MD role at Clemenger Brisbane in April 2016, was previously managing director at GPY&R Brisbane.
