Havaianas is bringing an authentic slice of Rio De Janeiro to Manly Beach for the next week, as part of the brand’s sponsorship of the World Surf League. The striking bespoke structure was designed and built by Monster Children Creative.

The Havaianas Clube de Praia will will be situated right on the sand for the duration of the Sydney Surf Pro, serving authentic Brazilian beach snacks, free coffee, açai bowls and ice cold coconuts throughout the day.

The structure features hand painted signs by Nathan Pickering, vintage beach furniture, all day Brazilian disco, and is surrounded by 4 metre high foxtail palms.

Says Nicola Jones, marketing manager Aqueo Imports: “Developed from our ‘How We Beach’ creative platform, the Havaianas Beach Club at Manly is the perfect representation of Brazilian beach culture.

“The team at Monster Children have executed a near perfect replica of what you’d see on the foreshore of the beaches of Rio.”

Says Matt Pike, creative director at MC Creative:  “We really wanted to create an experience that would transport the audience to Ipanema or Copacabana.  It is by far the the best spot at Manly this week to take in the surfing event, people watch and relax in the sun.”
