Hansen Yuncken appoints Icon Agency to lead national communications

Australian construction company Hansen Yuncken has engaged Icon Agency to boost its public relations and communications capabilities nationwide.

The new partnership will bolster Hansen Yuncken’s corporate profile and raise awareness of its iconic, innovative and sustainable projects across the country, while highlighting a history of more than 100 years of leadership and innovation in the construction sector.

Says Joanne Painter, managing director, Icon Agency: “Hansen Yuncken is an Australian construction industry success story, which has brought to life numerous national landmarks, including MONA, Melbourne’s Port Authority Building and Adelaide Airport that embody more than a century’s dedication to construction.

“We are delighted to put our purpose-driven, channel-agnostic approach to work to showcase Hansen Yuncken’s industry-leading projects and purpose-led brand vision in an authentic and compelling manner.”

Oanh Harding, national marketing and communications manager at Hansen Yuncken, will be overseeing the company’s engagement with Icon Agency.

Says Harding: “As a long-standing and highly-regarded brand, quality is always above quantity for Hansen Yuncken, including when it comes to our corporate storytelling.

“Having a comms partner that truly understands our strengths and can bolster our communications capabilities to drive awareness and consideration of Hansen Yuncken among target audiences is key to our business objectives.

“Icon stood out distinctively during the pitching process, for its integrated communications capabilities, deep understanding of the construction sector and strong alignment with Hansen Yuncken’s philosophy.

“We look forward to working with Icon closely as we further cement Hansen Yuncken’s leadership position in the sector.”

The appointment follows several milestones recently achieved by Icon, including the agency ranking among the top 10 fast growing firms in Asia Pacific after robust business growth over the past 18 months, the new Sydney office opening in Pyrmont’s Jones Bay, and a further 20 full-time hires and 4 contractors by the agency since January 2021.
