Global creative agency MIK Studio has announced its expansion into the commercial content space, filling the void between traditional TV commercial production and commercial content campaigns with a new end to end offering.

MIK Studio’s growing roster of world-class directors will collaborate with in-house strategists, copywriters and creative directors to offer an end-to-end approach that fills the void between traditional TV commercial production and commercial content campaigns.

Says Adam Callen, founder of MIK Studio: “Traditional big-budget TVCs no longer captivate audiences as they once did.”

With an extensive career stretching over two decades in the creative technology industry, Callen has been at the forefront of the seismic shift towards digital media. He expertly honed his hybrid skills blending the worlds of engineering and video directing, before establishing the internationally acclaimed MIK in 2010. As we witness a revolution in media consumption, with diverse and engaging content now more accessible to people’s eyes and ears than ever before, MIK’s forward-thinking vision and dedication to innovation is essential to shaping the future of the entertainment creative space.

Ty Linegar, executive producer at MIK Studios elaborated on this: “The industry has shifted towards smaller budgets and more frequent content campaigns. Agencies aren’t equipped to produce larger-scale campaigns themselves, and traditional production companies cannot survive on smaller budgets. Add to this the creative disconnect between brand’s marketing teams, the agencies they work with, and the production companies producing the end product and we have a glaring problem MIK is stepping in to solve. To be at a company with incredible teams of experts across the board and resources all in house allows us to navigate the changing landscape and is truly invaluable in today’s industry.”

MIK’s general manager Brent Lim has been overseeing MIK’s rapid global expansion: “With a global and rapidly growing team of over 50 employees and a background in production, MIK is best positioned to bridge the gap between low budget content and big budget TVCs whilst excelling at both. Directors, strategists, copywriters, designers, producers and editors, they’re all here under one roof. At MIK we pride ourselves on having our finger on the pulse, so I couldn’t be more excited for MIK to push into this new territory.”
