Former McCann SEA ECD Mark Ringer lured to chief creative and partner at Futago, Australia

Hobart agency Futago is going to the next level of offering in both breadth and depth, with the appointment of former ECD SEA, McCann Singapore Mark Ringer (centre) as chief creative and partner.

Says Dan Zika (left), managing director, Futago: “Mark isn’t a regular creative, he’s shown industry leadership, had plenty international success, including leading a design network out of London and multinational advertising agencies in Hong Kong and Singapore. Critically he is passionate about Tasmania and how it is projected into the world. He brings clout, gravitas, inspiration, culture and work ethic. The three of us are very excited about the future of Futago.”

Says Kate Owen (right), head of design, Futago: “Design in all its forms has been our killer-app, but the opportunity to broaden Futago’s offering to solve business problems as a more strategic creative company is super exciting. This day couldn’t come soon enough.”

Says Ringer: “I have known Dan and Kate for nearly 10 years, they have established Futago as a successful, highly regarded and awarded design studio that is of both substance and style. To be offered partnership is an utter honour. Together, we will build a creative company that is sought-after, selective, and is built around being conscious of what brands and the businesses behind them need to succeed.”

Futago has been established for 15 years.
