Former KWP! ACD David Ormston joins Simple Integrated Marketing as associate CD

Adelaide agency Simple Integrated Marketing has appointed David Ormston to the role of associate creative director.

Ormston (right) is one of South Australia’s most experienced and awarded copywriters, having helped to create some of the state’s most enduring and successful advertising campaigns.

In a career spanning more than two decades, he has worked on clients as diverse as RAA, Mitsubishi Motors, Coopers Brewery, SA Tourism, Ultratune, The Hospital Research Foundation, Yalumba, Motor Accident Commission, NT Tourism, People’s Choice Credit Union, The Advertiser and Clipsal 500.

Says Ormston: “Simple is producing amazing work and people have started to sit up and take notice. I’m excited to be part of an agency with so much creative energy and enthusiasm.”

Ormston started in the role on January 6, and will be working directly alongside Simple’s award-winning creative director, Pat Parisi (left).

Says Parisi: “We’re excited to welcome David to the team. He’s been responsible for some of my favourite campaigns over the years, and I can’t wait to combine our creative efforts going forward.

“2019 was a transformative year for Simple, and David’s appointment reflects the growth and growing profile of the agency.”

Prior to joining Simple, Ormston held the role of associate creative director at KWP!, where he has worked more than 13 years. His experience in creative concept development now adds to Simple’s already strong advertising credentials.

Simple has been recognised as one of South Australia’s top agencies at the last two consecutive Adelaide Advertising & Design Club Awards, and its work for certified gold musical artist Allday has just been announced by Billboard as one of the Top 20 Album Covers of 2019, alongside Taylor Swift and Chance the Rapper.

Founded in 2007, Simple has grown to a team of almost 30, with offices in Adelaide and Melbourne and an impressive roster of local and national clients.
