Emotive snares former Monkeys creative/AD Amanda Alegre for art director role

Emotive has today announced the appointment of Amanda Alegre as art director, further strengthening its creative offering following a number of hires in 2020.

With 3+ years at The Monkeys creating campaigns for a wide range of clients including Telstra, Berlei, NRMA Insurance and UBank, Alegre brings a wealth of experience and a strong ability to work across strategy, creative and social.

Says Alegre: “Feeling Simon and Hoggy’s energy and excitement towards building on the agency’s success over the last few years to realise even greater creative ambitions moving forward, has been — for lack of a better term — incredibly contagious. I couldn’t be more energised to work on Emotive’s long list of big-idea brands, and be part of a kick-ass team in one of the most inspiring offices in Sydney.”

Says Michael Hogg, managing partner and head of strategy: “Amanda is a gun. She has the ability to come up with ideas that surprise and art direction that makes you look twice. Amanda also has an amazing attitude and a passion for fried chicken that’s frankly inspiring. I’m thrilled that she’s part of Emotive and excited to be working together again.”

Alegre’s appointment comes on the back of continued growth for the Sydney agency, with an expanding client base including Optus, Audible, ModiBodi, Pernod Ricard, Unilever, HelloFresh, Google, ATC, YoPRO, and Nutriboost.

Alegre commenced on 11 January 2021 and will be based out of the Emotive Beach House in Sydney.
