electriclimefilms adds new hires following studio expansion in Australia

Along with electriclimefilms’ new expansion milestone to Australia in late 2020, boutique film house electriclimefilms has also grown its roster and team with talented Australia-based directors as well as devoted and driven creatives.

Previously freelancing with Studio Mondo as an integrated producer / account manager, Lisa Macfarlane (above) has been appointed as senior producer at electriclimefilms’ Sydney Studio. With a vast experience of almost a decade in producing — including end-to-end management of projects across broadcast, print and digital channels — Macfarlane has worked with marketing and advertising agencies such as BMF Australia, 72andSunny, whiteGREY, Hogarth Worldwide and VMLY&R.

To Macfarlane, “the ability to inspire and influence people; produce work that can better humanity and create more environmental awareness” is the most important aspect in the production line of work.

Since Macfarlane’s addition to the team in November 2020, she has been supporting exciting projects whilst advancing the production team’s steadfast attitude towards their mount within the Australia market. Inspired, Macfarlane identifies with the boutique film house’s direction and aspires to open doors to new ventures, assist in pushing creative boundaries, and enhance the company towards greater environmental awareness and sustainability.

Says Macfarlane: “I’m thrilled to be working alongside the inspiring creatives at electriclimefilms, and can’t wait to produce beautifully emotive projects that they’re renowned for.”

Situated in the vibrant inner-city suburb of Surry Hills, the new Sydney Studio fits right in with the cosy yet trendy surroundings. The charming space embodies both minimalistic and clean aesthetics at electriclimefilms other offices in Dubai and Singapore; bringing a unique character and giving a comforting office set-up for its team of passionate individuals. Each section of the Studio, from the lounge area and working space above to the editing suite downstairs, was built and furnished with its own characteristic traits that provide both clients and crews with distinctive experiences.

Michael Ahmadzadeh (above), partner and executive producer of electriclimefilms, commends the abundance of talent within Australia and looks forward to contributing immensely in the industry: “electriclimefilms has had significant growth over the years. However, our approach remains the same: creating quality work that makes an impact, and at the same time, to provide a top-notch experience for our partners.”

Journeying into 2021 with a kick-off and after a fruitful year of experiential and cherished opportunities, electriclimefilms’ committed teams in the three markets are eager for more exploration and new heights this year.

Says Ahmadzadeh: “Our people make the company; we have a great space, an accomplished team and a strong leader. Our next steps are to further build the team here in Australia — adding more fierce and talented enthusiasts of film and advertising to our global network of offices.”
