Digital design and voice experience (VX) agency VERSA has been awarded a $2.8 million contract to transform Port Phillip Council’s digital presence, bringing the local government’s web services up to date with VERSA’s world-leading design and user experience expertise.
Following an extended procurement process attracting tenders from a range of other leading agencies, VERSA was selected as the agency most capable of delivering Port Phillip Council’s stated brief of a harmonised, expanded and revitalised web offering.

Scheduled to commence in August, the coveted government contract will see VERSA as key to the delivery, implementation and maintenance of Port Phillip Council’s expanded digital services portfolio. Prominent in this redesign is an emphasis on transforming the Council’s digital ecosystem to improve service delivery for users accessing via mobile devices, a client segment now accounting for more than half of web traffic to the Council’s sites.
VERSA is tasked with standardising the Council’s current suite of websites hosted across various platforms, unifying the digital presence into a streamlined and contemporary user experience, while expanding the catalogue of services available to area residents. In addition to enhancing ease of use, the more sophisticated digital offering will also translate into significant maintenance savings for the Council and more options for customers to choose how they interact with the City of Port Phillip.
