Cancer Council Victoria urges Aussies to use free bowel cancer kits in new spot via Three Wise Men

Melbourne-based agency Three Wise Men has launched a new campaign for Cancer Council Victoria, that encourages Australians to use their bowel cancer screening kits instead of ignoring them or throwing them away.

Bowel cancer takes more lives than breast, prostate or skin cancer. But if detected in its early stages it is most likely treatable.

A bowel cancer screening kit is sent to every Australian aged over 50, every two years. Yet less than 50% of us actually do this simple, and potentially life-saving, test.

This campaign via Three Wise Men, aims to increase that number. It shows that bowel cancer is not just an old person’s disease and highlights the folly of saying you’ll do the test one day and then forgetting about it. It makes no sense to ignore doing a test that’s sent to you free, that takes a couple of minutes to do in your own home, and that could well save your life.
