BWS helps the everyday Aussie choose a good wine in new content series featuring Celeste Barber
Aimed to encourage the rogue sensibility Australians are renowned for, BWS is launching a five-part content series, Good Wine Chat, hosted by Australia’s “Queen of Comedy” and lover of all things wine, Celeste Barber.
The episodes will be a good old fashioned chinwag about wine- from ‘what to drink for date night’ to ‘what’s the best bubbles with bubbles’
Five hilarious episodes will be released throughout May & June with each instalment featuring Celeste Barber providing an explanation to viewers about how to choose wine; the style, or the occasion best suited to certain tipples.
BWS is taking it straight from the taste buds of Aussies, and letting them tell us what they think and how they drink, in their very own unique way.
Says Anna Webster, head of marketing wine, BWS: “Here at BWS, we don’t like to take ourselves too seriously and have some fun where we can. We understand that traditional wine lingo can often be hard to interpret and may appear intimidating to some wine drinkers. We want to make buying and experimenting with wine an enjoyable experience for the everyday Aussie. With this Good Wine Chat series, we are encouraging Aussie wine lovers like Celeste Barber to tell us what they think in their own unique and candid way – simply, a good chat about good wine.”
Says Celeste Barber: “I’ve teamed up with BWS because I want to help you rockstars find a bloody good drop, and I know sometimes that can be really hard to do.”
Says Hugh Fletcher, group account director at Present Company: “We knew that getting Celeste, filming herself at home, with her iPhone and some wine would mean creating something her fans and BWS customers would feel was authentic and relatable, more than that, it doesn’t feel like a sign of the current times. Celeste’s unique humour and easy going attitude is just what the doctor ordered.”

I’m glad that someone from social recommended adding a “sound on” icon straight over the top of someone clearly talking. Failing to look like a legit content creator within the first 10 seconds, well done.
Brands should really stop trying this tired outdated strategy and just sponsor real creators instead. It’s probably cheaper more effective and will have a greater reach.
If the intent of this is to encourage problem drinking then job done. Congrats.
Preeeetty long way from ‘hilarious’
Is it just me or was Celeste Barber a complete unknown before she became famous for starting that bushfire relief fundraiser, and now she’s the face of EVERYTHING.
Whacky, zany: The Celeste Barber brand.
Yeah, it’s just you.
why would you watch a whole series of these
Who ‘airs’ a wine???
You let it breathe.
Couldn’t get past the first 30 seconds.
So slowww, maybe more script and less improv for the next brand category that she stars in at home.
