BWM Dentsu Sydney’s ‘Project Revoice’ wins two Grands, three 1st Prizes and three 2nd Prizes at the 2019 New York Festivals Advertising Awards

BWM Dentsu, Sydney has picked up two Grand Awards, three 1st Prize awards and three 2nd Prizes awards at the 2019 New York Festivals Advertising Awards for The ALS Association’s ‘Project Revoice’, which has earned the agency the title of joint-regional creative agency of the year – APAC with Cheil Hong Kong.

VMLY&R Melbourne has had a great night securing two 1st Prize awards for Monash University ‘Sip Safe’ as well as three 2nd Prizes.

The Producers has picked up three 2nd Prizes for Love Shahram. Naked has picked up two 2nd Prizes, plus three 3rd Prizes for RMIT University’s ‘Sans Forgetica’.

Marketforce Perth has nabbed two 2nd Prize Awards for Telethon Speech and Hearing ‘Designer Hearing’ and 3rd Prize for Mindarie Regional Council ‘Face Your Waste’.

Cummins&Partners has won two 2nd Prizes for MADC ‘Meet Grant’ and a 3rd Prize for Specsavers ‘The Error Ridden Ad’.

DDB Sydney was awarded a 2nd and 3rd Prize for Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles ‘Polo UnFail’.

Agencies scoring one 2nd Prize apiece include The Studio at SCA, Perth for Edith Cowan University – Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts ‘Copyright Infringement’; Alt.vfx for Asahi Super Dry ‘Enter Asahi’ and The Brand Agency, Perth for Foodbank WA ‘Hungry Puffs’.

Scoring one 3rd Prize each is VMLY&R Sydney for UNICEF ‘UNICEF Hope Page’; Clemenger BBDO Sydney for Wrigley’s Extra ‘ExtraA Support Acts’, NOVA Entertainment for Absolutely Adult ‘XXXmas’ and Southern Cross Austereo, Brisbane for Brisbane Waters Private Hospital ‘Doors’.

The 2019 executive jury of chief creative officers and other top agency creatives, in addition to NYF’s Film Craft executive jury, selected the World’s Best Advertising award winners from the Finalists chosen by New York Festivals 400+ grand jury members. The combined 2019 executive juries deliberated and awarded: Best of Show, 7 Grand Prize Awards, 71 1st Prize Awards, 209 2nd Prize Awards, and 205 3rd Prize Awards. “Black Supermarket” from Marcel Paris was honored with the 2019 Best of Show Award. Client Carrefour challenged the agrochemical lobby and law that allows access to only 3% of existing fruits and vegetables in the Official Catalogue of Authorized Species. The campaign challenged people to go to the Black Supermarket and to sign the petition to change the law. “Black Supermarket” also earned a Grand Award, 3 First Prize Awards, 8 Second Prize Awards and 3 Finalist Certificates.

BBDO Worldwide was recognized with the title of 2019 Global Agency Network of the Year. The prestigious award is presented to the agency network that earns the most awards and produces a high caliber of creative work. The network earned a Grand Award, 10 First Prize Awards, 29 Second Prize Awards, 21 Third Prize Awards and 34 Finalist Certificates.

The award is based on total points scored irrespective of whether the entries have been submitted by the production company, advertising agency or another third party. Stink Films earned this honor for their award-winning work for several prominent agencies including Publicis Italy, ROSAPARK France, and AlmapBBDO Brazil

The New York City Award, a new category for NYFA was awarded to celebrate advertising that captures the vibe of New York City. First Prize Award went to BBH for their entry “Planned Parenthood NYC- Freedom to F*ck”.

Each year, New York Festivals, in partnership with the United Nations Department of Public Information, appoints a UN panel to select public service work that exemplifies the aims and ideals of the United Nations. For 2019, the UNDPI Jury recognized the following entries with the UNDPI Award: Philipp und Keuntje GmbH Germany “Shitty Paper Made from Hate” for Goldeimer earned the UNDPI First Prize Award; BETC Brazil “The Dissolving Poster” for Habitat For Humanity was awarded the UNDPI Second Prize Award; and Serviceplan France “Autism Can Work” for ANDROS / Vivre et travailler autrement was honored with the UNDPI Third Prize .
