BINGE unravels 18-storey hand painted portrait of Nicole Kidman in Sydney via Thinkerbell
An enormous painting of Nicole Kidman unravelled in Sydney’s Kings Cross on Saturday, as eleven artists reached a sky-high milestone to complete the biggest hand painted portrait in the Southern Hemisphere created to celebrate the launch of the new series The Undoing, now available on BINGE, developed by Thinkerbell.
The stunning portrait is the size of an Olympic swimming pool, in tribute to Kidman, one of the most decorated Australian actors of all time.
The soaring portrait is a depiction of Kidman as her character, Grace Fraser, in The Undoing – this year’s biggest mystery thriller now streaming weekly on BINGE. It’s an HBO psychological thriller in which Kidman plays New York therapist Grace Fraser who discovers her picture-perfect marriage isn’t quite what it seems. It stars Hugh Grant as her on-screen husband.
Says Alison Hurbert-Burns, executive director, BINGE: “We’re so excited to be able to share The Undoing with Australia. Not only is it some of the world’s best drama, but it stars Nicole Kidman – so we just had to do something big to celebrate the show in her hometown. And what better way to mark the year’s biggest thriller, with the biggest portrait Australia has ever seen.
“The psychological thriller has quickly become the most-watched show on BINGE, drawing the largest audience of any show since we launched in May. This echoes the record results achieved globally since the series launched on October 26, which is why if you want to watch the world’s biggest shows, you need to have BINGE.”
Says Tom Wenborn, executive creative tinker at Thinkerbell: The underlying theme of The Undoing is that nothing stays hidden. Finding a way to demonstrate the twists and turns of the show on a massive scale has been a lot of fun.
Nicole Kidman shared an image of the portrait to her 7.2 million Instagram followers: https://www.instagram.com/p/CHoUS9VJVvE/
The portrait will unravel into a second image from today.
The Undoing is now Unravelling on BINGE.

Big can be the idea.
Fuckin house painter coulda done a better job than that.
It can’t. No idea here.
Saw it yesterday. It’s huge. Not sure what it means though and I’ve never heard of binge so it’s a bit confusing.
I’ll fix her up!
I like that it’s more art than ad.
Haven’t we suffered enough?
But why? What’s the relevance? At least this had some association with the product?

And?
I think this appeared on 7 9 and 10 news reatrdly and nationally creating a bucket load of Pr for the show I think the billboard also has several layers so the undone ideas comes to life I think they are doing this to create awareness and downloads
My point is there is no relevance, strategic insight or idea. The poo jogger was also all over the news.
No relevance, strategic insight or idea? boo hoo? All this creates is national awareness for the show and the streaming service across every broadcast media (despite its competitive to them. It’s first class / exceptional earned media. Take your relevance, strategic insight and idea and go write a lovely powerpoint deck. This piece of work is designed to get sales.
Disagree. As wai botha said, a poo jogger can get eyeballs. You need relevance to get sales.
Tinkerbell tries sooooo hard. But they kinda suck balls.
In Ep 3 or 4 there’s a portrait of her – of this quality – displayed on a phone. That’s the connection…….I’m guessing.
A lot of Thinking and Tinkering went into this…hmmm
Can’t imagine Nic’s plastic surgeon is gonna love this likeness.
is not getting enough credit.
Monkey Christ
Frankly, doesn’t look anything like Nicole Kidman at all.
I really hope that the plot of the show doesn’t revolve around her character being guilty and unravelling because i’m digging the show and if this ad has just spoiled a future twist I would hate this brand forever.
lmao trying too hard is a good way to put it
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
When my wife divorced me she took the house, the car, the kids, the cat, netflix, stan and my brand new Imac. I said, “will you be taking Binge too?” She tilted her head, almost in pity although i doubt she could even feel that for me, and said, “why do you think we’re getting a divorce Heath?”
I wish i spent that $10 on a hamburger.
That Nicole Kidman is going to be big. Gabby Hayes big!
