Bestads Best TV/Film of the Week: John Lewis’ ‘Where Love Lives’ via Saatchi & Saatchi, UK

Each week Bestads showcases standout global advertising work as reviewed by a top international creative director or team. This week’s film of the week is John Lewis’ ‘Where Love Lives’ via Saatchi & Saatchi, UK.

The film was chosen by this week’s guest judge Robin Fitzgerald, Chief Creative Officer, BBDO Atlanta.

Says Fitzgerald: “Seems like John Lewis usually focuses on a younger child in their iconic holiday ads, so it was refreshing to see this new take on the awkward teen years for families. I’m not sure why the dad and his son aren’t comfortable talking, but the song with a remix of two generations of artists helps bridge the gap and made me smile right along with them.”

Saatchi & Saatchi and John Lewis’ 2025 Christmas campaign, ‘Where Love Lives’ is built on a simple yet profound insight: when you can’t find the perfect words, you can still find the perfect gift. Inviting the UK to say what they truly feel through the timeless power of thoughtful gifting, exploring how the right present can express what words can’t, capturing connection, memory, and emotion in a way that feels both new and unmistakably John Lewis. The work has music at the heart as the great connector. ‘90s dance icon Alison Limerick provides the soundtrack with her iconic hit ‘Where Love Lives’, with a newly reimagined version by globally acclaimed artist and producer Labrinth featuring in the campaign.
