Aussie expat creative Scott Walker, stuck in the UK, sets up GoFundMe to get him and kids home

Aussie expat creative Scott Walker, who is stuck in the UK, has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to get him and his two children back home to Australia.

After a long custody battle in the UK, Walker has been granted the right to bring his children back to Australia but the family has had four flights cancelled and is urging the Federal Government to provide more repatriation flights.

Says Walker: “Many of you know my story over the last few years, what many don’t know is that my legal battles have cost me hundreds of thousands of pounds, and at one point I was working three jobs just to keep up with them.

“Unfortunately, due to COVID, working any job, let alone 3, to keep up has become impossible. And flights back to Australia are costing near 50,000 AUD. So, I’m asking for help. It’s taken a lot for me to swallow my pride and do this, but I need to. I realise that this time is hard for everyone, so I don’t have big expectations. However, if you can spare any small amount, both me and my children will be forever grateful – this is, at the end of the day, all about my children, about getting them home to a fresh start in Australia, close to my family and amazing friends.”
