The ACA announces 124 finalists in round one of the 2021 Australian Effie Awards
Following a rigorous round of online judging by 156 industry experts, Advertising Council Australia has today announced that 124 finalists from 38 agencies on behalf of 55 clients have made it into round two of the Australian Effie Awards.
Finalists will now compete for Effies, Australia’s only awards based on proven advertising effectiveness – across 25 categories, assessed by a team of 60 senior marketers, consultants and researchers.
Says Colin Wilson-Brown, chair of judges: “A big thank you to all the first-round judges for their tireless and vital contribution to this year’s Effies. We all know what an enormously difficult year this has been and with lockdowns on top of this, to welcome so many worthy finalists into round two sends a very positive message about the value of the work our industry continues to produce despite very challenging circumstances.
“Cases and results will now be assessed by panels of senior marketers, putting an important lens over how agency work is driving business performance.”
The Effie winners, Effective Agency of the Year, Effective Advertiser Award, and Grand Effie will be announced on Wednesday 20 October at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf (subject to restrictions).
The Effies are jointly presented by Advertising Council Australia and the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) in association with Think TV. Other sponsors and supporters include Ad Standards, Google and UnLtd.
