50 entries from Australia make the cut at finalist stage of The One Show 2019 ~ AWARDS MAY 8 + 10

Australia has scored 50 finalists for The One Show 2019, as announced today by The One Club for Creativity, the world’s foremost non-profit organization celebrating creative excellence in advertising and design, based in New York. One Show judges selected 1,558 finalists representing 40 countries this year.

CHE Proximity Melbourne leads the Australian agency pack with 12 finalists, including five for IAG “Safety Hub”, three each for carsales.com.au “AutoAds” and Velocity Frequent Flyer “The Earnbassadors”, and one for Cochlear “Hearprint”.

BWM Dentsu Sydney has eight One Show finalists, all for The ALS Association “Project Revoice”.

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has five finalists, all for Myer “Naughty or Nice Bauble”. J. Walter Thompson Sydney has five, all for Berlei “Serena: I Touch Myself Project”. VMLY&R also has five, with three out of the Melbourne office for Monash University “Sip Safe” and two from the Sydney office: one each for Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) “Alexa Lifeline” and Unicef Australia “Hope Page”.

Naked Communications with RMIT University Melbourne has four finalists, all for its own “Sans Forgetica”.

Cummins&Partners Melbourne and Scoundrel Films Sydney has two finalists, both for Specsavers “The Error Ridden Ad”. Leo Burnett has two, one from the Melbourne office for SPC Ardmona “Goulburn Valley Food Tours” and one from the Sydney office for Samsung Australia “Make My Ideas”. Also with two finalists is The Brand Agency Perth, both for Foodbank WA “Hungry Puffs”.

One finalists spot each go to Havas Melbourne for PUMA Australia “The Unfollowed”, Isobar with RedDogs VR, both Melbourne, for Carriberrie “Carriberrie”, Substance Sydney for TEDx Sydney “Humankind”, and TBWA\Sydney with Goodoil Films, Alt VFX and Arc, all in Sydney, for The Woolmark Company “Live&Breathe”.

Globally, McCann New York has the most One Show finalists in the world this year with 41, including 16 on behalf of client March for Our Lives. Ogilvy Chicago is close behind with 40 finalists, followed by BBDO New York with 38, Droga5 New York with 34 and TBWA\Chiat Day New York with 30.

The entry with the most finalists spots is “Broadway The Rainbow” for Mars Wrigley Confectionery by DDB Chicago with 25, followed by Burger King “The Whopper Detour” by FCB New York with 19. Tied for third with 17 finalists each are Nike “Dream Crazy” by Wieden+Kennedy Portland and McDonald’s “The Flip” by We Are Unlimited Chicago with The Marketing Store Chicago, DDB New York and DDB Canada Vancouver.

This year’s winners will be announced at two nights of The One Show awards ceremonies in NYC on May 8, from 6pm-midnight at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, 141 West 54th St. and May 10, from 6pm-2am at Cipriani, 55 Wall Street.
