3P Studio takes a big step into South East Asian markets with OnePlus 11 5G campaign launch

One of Queensland’s fastest growing post production and VFX houses 3P Studio, has taken a big step into SE Asians market by teaming up with Sweetshop for the launch of the OnePlus 11 5G ‘Shape of Power’ campaign which premiered earlier this month at their global event in India.

 

Filming for the production took place in Warsaw, Poland with Canadian director Jason van Bruggen at the helm. van Bruggen worked closely with the VFX department at 3P Studio to beautifully craft a handful of 2D comp sequences and two full CG shots, one of which took the audience inside the new Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Processor, one of the fastest of its kind.

Says Alexei Golob, head of creative, OnePlus: “This film is about the history of power in objects, and about where the OnePlus 11 appears in that history. It was really fun to explore this little micronarrative together with Jason and the greater team, to build that “Shape of Power”.”

The project was led by the then VFX supervisor, Kosta Lagis and current VFX supervisor Randy Vellacott, both titans in their own right.

Says Vellacott: “It is wonderful to see projects of such a high calibre making its way to Brisbane. Some of the sequences were challenging in nature, however our talented team of artists pushed through to exceed client expectations and produce beautifully executed work across both the 2D & 3D departments.”

Says Haley McDonald, founder and managing director, 3P Studio: “Seeing the work of 3P Studio artists on the stage of OnePlus’s Cloud 11 event which was live streamed to millions of people on Youtube was a truly humbling experience. Brisbane is home to so many incredible artists, fortunately a lot of them work at 3P, and it is fantastic to see their hard work showcased in this way.”

2023 is set to be a big year for the 3P team, as they prepare to relocate to their purpose built inner-city facility. The facility will house multiple online, offline, sound, client suites as well as multiple audio and video recording studios. This will allow the team to take on even bigger projects from all corners of the globe and continue to raise Brisbane’s powerhouse profile in the world of post production and VFX.
